FIGHT THE ITCH, AVOID INGROWNS
Modern multi-blade cartridge razor design may exacerbate issues of irritation and ingrown hair by virtue of how tight the multiple blades are spaced.
Leaf Razor blades are spaced twice as far apart, and each of them are individually-guarded which means they can work together or alone, in any combination.
This multi-blade razor head will not lift-and-cut your hair below the surface of your skin, which can be a leading cause of razor bumps forming upon re-growth. When addressing issues like ingrown hair, there are many factors at play. A QUICK GUIDE TO BODY SHAVING
STEP 1—PREPARE
PREPARE YOUR SKIN
Clean your skin first with an exfoliating wash to remove dirt and impurities that may irritate your skin while shaving. This will also help clear out dead skin which can reduce the occurrence of razor bumps.
Skin and hair should be warm and wet when shaving—warm skin opens pores and extends hair outward allowance for an easier, closer shave. Also, wet hair is significantly easier to cut than dry hair, allowing the razor’s blade to slice through it with less force.
Massage in a layer of Shave Oil and then lather up with a bar of Shave Soap for extra protection and cushion while shaving. Make sure your hair and skin is completely coated.
You are now ready to shave.
Tip: Leaf Razor doesn't have a chemical moisture strip, we let you control the things you put on your body. Ensure you're correctly protecting your skin while shaving.
STEP 2—SHAVE
FIND THE PIVOT
The Leaf Razor's pivot will keep enough pressure on the blades to shave, and to keep them against your skin around curves and bumps.
Do not press hard into your skin, the razor's weight and the springs will apply the correct pressure for you.
If you're just starting out and want to put the razor into mild mode, remove the bottom blade. Load only the middle and top spots. This will be a less-close shave but the razor will be gentler. Some people find this a comfortable setting to learn in.
Then, when you find you need a closer shave, put the bottom blade back in.
USE ALL OVER
Work methodically around your body. For shaving under your arm, shave with the grain of hair growth first. And then re-lather and shave against the grain of hair growth.
The way that the Leaf Razor's blades are engineered to meet your skin, the razor will not shave the hair beneath your skin. So you may find it more comfortable than ever before to shave against the grain of hair growth.
Take care and slow down over very bony areas (like shins and ankles). The blades are sharp and it is always possible to nick yourself. Lighten up pressure to just skim the razor over your skin and move slower on these tougher areas.
STEP 3—SKIN CARE
NOURISH YOUR SKIN
You've done the hard part. Now treat yourself right. Rinse your skin with cold water and then finish your shave with an oil.
If your skin is prone to irritation or redness, choose Calming Serum. If not, you can confidently use Shave Oil after your shave.
This will provide needed moisture and protection, and keep your skin happy.
Spending time outside? Don't forget the SPF.
